QARRC’s first project, undertaken in 2019, demonstrated trainee interest in research and identified perceived barriers to participation.
This was a statewide retrospective observational study of Intraoperative Hypotension in Elderly Patients in QLD hospitals, with findings to be presented soon.
Following a successful pilot project at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2020, QARRC is preparing for statewide rollout of this retrospective project on SGLT2 inhibitor usage in QLD hospitals, to review cessation rates and associated complications.
Anaesthesia Sustainability QLD
This upcoming audit project will assess nitrous oxide and volatile anaesthetic use in QLD hospitals, and review this in context of environmental impact of anaesthesia provision.
